What goes in my day bag
A good coastal day depends more on the bag than on the weather forecast.
Water, a warm layer, a small first aid kit and a printed map cover most situations. Phones die quickly in cold wind.
I also carry a thin waterproof sack for the camera. Spray finds its way into every pocket sooner or later.
