My first solo sail
After a summer of lessons I finally took the dinghy out alone. It was shorter and calmer than I had imagined.
I chose a light, steady breeze and stayed close to the harbour wall. Most of the time went into practising tacks.
The real lesson was coming back in. Approaching the slipway slowly and early made the whole landing undramatic.
